Live TV video is very choppy, audio is fine.

The machine should be more than capable of handling PVRX2.

P4 3.0 HT
1GB
Sapphire Theatrix 550pro
GeForce 6200 256mb AGP
Running dual head from the 6200 - 1680x1050 x2

LiveTV video is super choppy - essentially one frame every second is shown.

Live TV on client machines works great.

I've been playing around with settings etc, trying to fix the problem, but no luck.

Here's my current configuration:

Playback
Video Decoder: Sonic Cinemaster DS
Other options are: Nero and 'MPEG Video Decoder'

Audio Decoder: System Default - not sure what the default is.
Other options are: 'MPEG Audio Decoder' and Nero Digital Audio Decoder

PVRX2 Video Renderer - VMR9 Custom

Aspect Ratio Control: 16x9

Capture Source
Recording Source: Direct Recording Plugin
Capture Card Type: ATI Theater 550pro
Source: Internal Tuner / Tuning: Cable

I've tried playing around a little with the Renderer and MPEG-2 settings, but haven't really had any luck.

The other thing I've noticed is that when at the PVRX2 menu, mouse movement over the window causes very very choppy mouse movement - moving the mouse over the rest of the desktop is smooth.

The older GBPVR is still installed (VMR7), and works better, but still drops a few frames every 2-3 seconds.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Found that the MS hotfix posted in the sticky in this section seems to have fixed the video problem.

Now have a small audio tic... will dig around some more.

cheers
