I am currently running the latest version of GBPVR and using Dscaler5 for DVD playback. Most of the time I use AC3Filter for SPDIF passthrough. This lets my Denon receiver handle the Dolby and DTS decoding. Standard movie DVDs playback correctly with these components.
My problem is that I have a few concert DVDs that have 24/92 PCM stereo soundtracks and these do not playback cleanly. When the concert comes on, you can hear some of the music and a lot of static.
I think the problem is AC3Filter and I have been trying other options to playback these particular DVDs. Unfortunately nothing has worked yet.
My current setup uses a Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H motherboard and the on board sound setup for SPDIF passthrough.
Any hints or suggestion would be appreciated.
Thanks,
pete
