I installed the hali splitter thing mentioned in another post and got mp4 playback perfectly. Unfortunately it broke everything else (I think it was trying to get involved with mpeg and avi decoding too) and I was unable to watch any recorded shows until I uninstalled it. I remember that on installation it had loads of tick boxes as to what it will attempt to decode (although I couldn't find the equivalent options in it's setting page after installation) so what are the minimum ticks I need to set in order to get mp4 playback with hali, but leave all other formats handled as they were before?
Alternatively are there any other codecs / splitters / whatevers out there that I could use instead that would be a bit easier for me to get working?
