iTunes and GB-PVR not playing well together on XP

I recently installed GBPVR running a WinTV-HR-1600, and I've noticed that when I have iTunes open, it messes up the playback of recordings. Even if I close iTunes, GBPVR won't recover unless I do a system reboot. Has anyone else experienced this? Solutions (other than ditching iTunes
 )?

My bet is that it's the QuickTime part of iTune. I think you can uninstall this by itself from the Windows Control Panel. Worth a try.
