Solve one problem, a worse one pops up...
I was having trouble with LiveTV; every ten seconds or so, it would pause for about half a second. Searching the forum here, I found suggestions of using the PowerDVD 5 MPEG-2 codec, which supports my hardware (VIA EPIA M10000 motherboard).
I upgraded to PowerDVD 6, and LiveTV plays back beautifully now (as long as there's no OSD)... unfortunately, if I try to play a recorded show (which had been working fine before), I get a black screen and no audio for about fifteen seconds, then a BSOD naming vtdisp.dll as the culprit.
Short of installing a PCI video card (which means removing the audio card, an unattractive prospect since my machine's primary purpose is as a portable DAW), is there any way to fix this?
