DVD playback blank

Hi

I've recently downloaded gbpvr and am very impressed! The only problem I have is with DVD playback - whenever I insert a DVD and then choose "DVD" from the main menu the screen goes blank (black) and does not play the DVD.

My PC's DVD player works fine (to prove the point I attempted to play the same DVD using media player classic and all was fine). Has anyone encountered this problem before?

Which DVD playback software installed? I've tested with WinDVD, and PowerDVD.

Did you set the DVD playback decoders on the DVD tab of the Config app? Sometimes relying on 'system default' can cause problems.

Thanks for the quick reply! I hadn't previously realised that you needed specific codecs for DVD (mpeg) playback.

I've installed ffdshow which has now enabled DVD playback and gbpvr now displays video fine :-)

I guess it worked in mplayerc because its codecs are "in-built"
