I can't imagine converting from S-Video to component in your A/V receiver would make the signal any better than sending it directly to the S-Video input on the card; at best it would be identical, unless the card's comb filter is exceptionally bad.

Ok, so that is a good argument to install the Compro software. Smile

The card advertises it has a good combfilter (no idea if it is true), so not much point in pursuing getting the component input to work in NextPVR. Particularly as I would have the Compro software (for its decoders), which means I could use that software if I need to capture something through component.
