The key line here is:

VERBOSE locked=0 present=0 strength=0 quality=0

This pretty much implies the drivers werent able to lock on to a signal. If you're certain the signal is good, and you've picked the correct region for your location, then I'd be guessing its driver related. Try to get another BDA app going. I suspect it'll have the same problems.

Yeah that's pretty much what I figured. I am now certain the signal is good. It's the same cable as for my TV and we are in a good reception area.

What other BDA applications are there around to try? This is not something I have ever looked at before.

I have some registry settings editor GUI whatsit that came with the driver that gives me a few options to try out, but it already came preconfigured for GB so I would have expected the defaults to be adequate.... any tips where to go hunting here?

Cheers,
M.

The settings I have access to are available via something called "TwinHan BDA Driver Registry Setting" (rather original), but includes such things as:
Relock monitor: currently disabled
Auto setting by country (for MCE): currently disabled
MCE freq translate 8MHz
Fixed Bandwidth 8MHz
Shift FreqScan: currently disabled

I'm not really sure. Most of the cards come with a BDA app, but I dont think the TwinHan does. You could try ShowShifter.

Showshifter is locking on to the channels properly. Assuming Showshifter is using the same BDA drivers as GBPVR, then the problem seems to be with either my setup of GBPVR, or with GBPVR itself.
