ATI 550 blocky playback

Hi all,

I am a new owner of an ATI 550 pro . Although GB-PVR works overall, I have a slight problem.

All my recording so far play back with blocks in the bottom part of the screen. Also the picture is displaced, with the image apearing at the bottom part of the screen, with the bottom bit cut off.

has anybody an idea how to fix this problem

Some PAL users have had to edit direct.ini and set ForceStandard=16

Hiya,

The fix sorted the problem.

I am in england - for some reason 16 would not tune the audio, so I entered 18 as the value in the ini file, and all is working well, no blocking, and perfect aspect ratio.

Exactly, 16 is good for PAL B/G (New Zealand, Israel, others), and 18 is probably good for PAL/I (England).
