I have the Dish 301.. the OSD for GBPVR on the skin I'm using (Contour) is at the bottom of the screen, and the Dish's own OSD is at the top of the screen. I thought it would look bad or annoying, but really it's not bad at all. The Dish OSD goes away somewhat quickly, and I don't really notice it anymore.
sub, maybe in a future release, could there be a feature for timeshifting mode where the channel change is done first, and then the old graph is changed and the new buffer file starts.. this way, the time it takes for the channel change can occur while the PC is setting up the new buffer.. so it would work a lot better.. just a thought? although i suppose you might lose a second or two of the new channel in the buffer, but if it was a setting then people could choose if they wanted it or not..
Sub.. I see that if i select usb-uirt ..it shows a dish network for the settings...
The reciever ill be getting is a dish network? Are you making the connection? Can i load up custom remote settings? IF!! the remote has the 56khz and i cannot learn it...could i find the codes for it and uses those codes as a setting
I need to know..I want to order usb-uirt really soon.. Were getting dish tommorow... I want to download as little tv shows as possible!

I found out that usb-uirt can learn any frequency..at close range.. THe 56khz add on is so you can use remotes with that frequency from a normal distance!! So it would appear as though it would work just fine...

I'll add to that. USB-UIRT is the simplest thing I've ever installed and setup.
GBPVR's learning wizard will make it a 10 second job. 15 secs at the outside...
You can even plugin a second IR Emitter and tape it to your box, provided you get one with a 2nd port.
