Keyboard works once, then quits

You can get v6 (which is the only one i use) of cyberlink's dvd playing software from http://www.oldversion.com

I use with with VRM (not sure exactly which one as I'm not at home, but its the one that has the warning about not always working with cyberlink codecs).

I like to use my keyboard as a remote (call me a wierdo) but anyway when I open video library to play one of my dvd's. I can perform one Ctrl command and then my keyboard stops being responsive and i have to ctrl alt delete outta GB-PVR. ..... Anyone ever hear of this?? It's driving me batty. Only seems to affect .dvd playback

I had a similar problem but it affected both my keyboard and my remote. It turned out that my keyboard was broken and one of the keys, such as the control key was stuck in the down position. This meant that all keyboard strokes and all remote signals were interpreted as control + command which rendered every message meaningless. You will know if this is the problem if all other keyboard usage responds in the same way.

what was the solution: post it so other people can know.

I had v4 of the software, bumped it up to v6 and used the downloadable .reg file from the wiki to ensure I had the values correct, and then it worked. So could be one or both needed for the solution. Not entirely sure
