SniperDude Wrote:wonder if you got a HVR1600 instead of a PVR150.... seems I recall ppl saying that Hauppage was subbing in these..

Newegg reviews have been saying the same thing, ordered a 150 and got a 1600.

Also, you do have .Net 2.0 installed correct?

If you are using Win 2000 than you also need MDAC 2.6 or higher.

I'm fairly sure you'll get rid of the "object reference not set to an instance of an object" error by setting the video renderer to something other than VMR9 Custom.

I've never seeen a 150, but I do have an HVR 1600. I think tht differences would be that the HVR has two connections for coaxial cable, one for HD and one for analog, the HVR cmes with an IR Baster/ receiver, and the installation book has a big HV 1600 on the front page.

looks like it is fixed at least I am getting "Live TV". I changed the video renderer to "Overlay" and the live TV popped right up (at least on the computer). I didn't have the audio hooked up (as I was doing all this remotely). I did set a record to take place, but I don't believe the IR Blaster worked to change the channels so step one is done, now I just need to work on the rest of it. Thanks so much for the help. I am sure I will be posting again, or at least scouring the forums for help with the Hauppauge 150 IRBlaster. Any hints to get me going?

I'm excited now at least I have video!!

Assuming you've configurned the Hauppauge BlastCfg app for your set top box, then all you have to do is set your capture source to use the '.exe channel changer' point to c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\haupblast.exe

Hope I am posting to correct thread has it seems I have the same problem. I recently installed latest version on my computer which is a Medion 8800 and I believe a Phillips TV capture DVB-T and DVB-S. I have followed a thread from another forum and adjusted the .ini file and the programs finds my channels no problem but when i go to watch LIVE TV I get the mesage "Object Reference" error. I have attached my log files since instalation, hope some one can help as it seems a great program to use and I want to later use it to watch satellite later on if I can succeed in getting it to work.

Just my 2cts: I saw in the logs that gbpvr couldn't find the flow status filter.

Code:
17:51:19.375 VERBOSE FindFilterByName failed to locate filter: GB-PVR Flow Status

I'd try reregistering filters, if that doesn't help, wait for more helpSmile .

Yep, what he said. Try running the ReRegisterFilters.bat file.

Before I upgraded to .99 I had a blastcfg file, however after I upgraded there is no blastcfg file. Do I need to re-run the Hauppauge IR config? When I ran it the first time I could never get it to work the blaster light would blink but nothing happened to the satellite receiver (it didn't go on or off). I ran through all the codes to test it and none seemed to affect the box. I am running a directv d10 receiver. I haven't gotten a chance to tinker with it last night so I will look at it tonight i hope to get it working. I think this is the last "big step" to getting it all working

You guys are great helps. Thanks so very much
