FSE is causing me problems in that it dosent recover from standby so Ive had to revert to standard vmr9 which is a shame.

Ill maybe look at a different decoder to see if I can fix the stutter issues, maybe Ill even go back to re-clock and just live with the long delay's.

I've just read a long thread where you didnt sound too impressed with FSE so is it likely to get some support time to the issues with standby ?

I think I saw another thread earlier where someone mentioned it wasnt working too well with hibernate either, guess this is the same issue.

Thanks

Which thread? My comments on FSE would have varied quite a bit depending on when I was asked over the last few months.

Yes, I've seen that thread, and have added it to my list of things to look into in the next couple of days. FSE is now a mainstream feature, so I will be doing my best to fully support it.

Glad to hear that its a feature that will be sticking around as it certainly seemed to work well for me.

If you need someone to test the standyby recovery Ill be glad to test it.

Thanks

Can you see if the attached patch resolves the issue?

There is a slight possibility this patch is not compatible with v0.99.12, so please back up the original file first.

EDIT: Patch removed. See patch below instead.

Just tested it Sub but it doesn't work for me unfortunately exact same behaviour as before.

I also get an "object not set... " error on startup with the option to continue or quit. Pressing continue means GB-PVR runs OK (with another object not set error within the prog itself) but the hibernate problem is still there.

For reference, the debug text I get on startup is attached.

Ah, I suspected this might be the case. My build is no longer compatible with 0.99.12, so no more patches.

I have now had the chance to check the patch here on a couple of my post-v0.99.12 machines, and it does correct the problem from both standby and hibernate.

Soup and Frank, can see if applying both of these files in this zip fixes your "Object ref not set" error, and also corrects your display on resume?

EDIT: patched removed. See updated patch later in thread.
