Dscaler5 decoder question/problem

No, there is no log that would show anything about why this decoder cant show its own settings page.

I am using version 5.0.0.8, does that matter/what version are you running?

According to the readme file (dscaler5.chm) I'm also running dscaler5 version 0.0.8, though checking the file version of the MpegVideo.dll it reports a file version of 0.0.6.0 (18 Feb 2006).

Try downloading GraphEdit and see if that will let you view the dscaler video decoder settings.

Choose 'insert filter' from the menu, expand the directshow category, then insert the 'dscaler5 Mpeg2 video decoder' filter. Close the insert filters popup, then right click on the filter and click 'properties'.

Just change whatever setting you want in GraphEdit. They're sticky, and will apply to GB-PVR.

I had the same problem with config crashing when opening the decoder properties. A re-install of DScaler fixed it - don't know how or why, but give it a shot.
