PVRX2.EXE Hanging on playback intermittantly

from Directx 9b (ver 6.5.1.902). So wanted to check if you thought this could be the problem - What version of Quartz.dll are you running dslowik ??

I'm running Vista, so I've got the DirextX 10 quartz.dll (6.6.6000.16386).

cool - I'll have a crack at a few things this weekend including seeing if I can make GBPVR crash or if its isolated to PVRX2 (It's only been doing it since PVRX2 but it could be co-incidence) and I'll also update my Quartz.dll - Maybe the problem that Quartz.dll fixed will be isolated to the old GBPVR for me as the fault never occurs in WMP or WinDVD (Intermittant "Stuttered" playback) - I take it theres changes in the way PVRX2 addresses Directvideo etc as it demands VMR9 ??

Just to give some feedback on this one - Over the weekend I put some new drives in the machine (Went from 200 & 250 to 320 & 400) and did a TOTALLY fresh install - I imported the XML recordings export but otherwise everything was installed fresh. I was running XP MCE 2005, I'm now just running XP Pro as I wasn't doing anything with MCE.

After the fresh install so far NO HANGS!!!!! YAY... They almost seemed to be getting worse before this - sometimes doing it 5 times in an Evenings TV viewing.

I still have one problem hanging over from the previous setup in that sometimes when playing a recording I get no picture, only audio and OSD and I have to quit the app and go back in. I've had this problem right through the old versions and new so I'd say its codec related. I'll start having a play with this one, but in some ways I can live with that and playing with Codec's may introduce other problems!
