Great. I hope you leave some room for custom scripts. I started from Stattik's script but did some changes.

Hello pastro,
Thanks for writing SkipTool!

SkipTool runs great under "blue" skin but it seizes up if using Community3 skin -- giving me the Red X Of Death in the window.

I notice that the same "SkipTool" folder and contents exist in /skin2/blue/ and in /skin2/Communitry3/ so I was surprised to be experiencing the RXOD

Any ideas what I'm missing or how I can diagnose and fix it for Community3 skin?
Thanks a lot,

I looked and there is nothing that is hard coded to blue, so presumablly it should work in either. Are the files in the skin directory the same in blue as in community3? Do you get the rxod on the first screen or from the popup for entering the skip times?

this is a superb plugin pastro - thank you so much. at last I can do something useful with my way-off comskip files.

Looking forward to the transcode queue and keyboard mods.

Thanks for the plug. The keyboard mod release was posted today. The transcode queue will take a bit longer.

Hi pastro,
(1) I upgraded to 1.0.0.4
(2) All files /skin2/blue/ and /skin2/Community3/ are same size and same timestamp
(3) No RXOD until after the PVRX2 error window pops up - which if after a file is selected in popup window (just before the actual screen for changing times).
(4) Err msg: "Unhandled exception occurred in a component in your application... Input string wes not in correct format"

EDIT... the RXOD actually pops when trying to dismiss/continue the err msg dialog box!

EDIT2... In just trying to check things I discover that in Config.Plugins. when SkipTool plugin is selected... the "Settings" button remains grayed out!!

Thanks a lot,

That is weird, since didn't you mention that it works in the blue skin and not community?

My guess is there is a problem with the .txt file format. (comskip output file) Can you rename the associated .txt file to a different extension and try again. Please post the .txt file also.
The grayed out config settings is fine, there is nothing to config for skiptool.

Also please post your pvrx2.exe-xx.log(s)

Yes, to confirm.. works fine with blue skin.
The comskip .txt file was/is as follows
===========================================
FILE PROCESSING COMPLETE 103241 FRAMES AT 2997
-------------------
92670 103242
===========================================
I renamed the comskip .txt... same results... NOT work work Community3... works with blue skin

Attempting to run another mpg with no comskip .txt file produces same failure under Community3.

Attached is zip of requested log files... immediately before zipping log files I went thru process of attempting to run SkipTool on the "Frontline - Showdown With Iran.mpg" file.., using both the blue and Community3 skins.

Thanks a lot for trying to help,
TomH

There are a couple of values that are picked up from the base skin that I don't think are showing up in community skin.
Add the following to the either the baseskin.xml in the community skin dir, or to the mediapopup.xml in the skiptool skin dir.

<NamedValues>
<NamedValue name="PopupCornerRadius" value="1.5"/>
<NamedValue name="PopupBorderWidth" value="2"/>
</NamedValues>

There are a couple of colors that were picked up in the baseskin also.
Here are all the colors from the baseskin: You can add these to the baseskin or the mediapopup skin.

<NamedColors>
<!-- popup colours -->
<NamedColor name="PopupBackground" color="Black"/>
<NamedColor name="PopupBorder" color="#7FFFFFFF"/>
<!-- list colours -->
<NamedColor name="ListNormal" color="#15FFFFFF"/>
<NamedColor name="ListSelected" color="#4500FF00"/>
<NamedColor name="ListSelectedInactive" color="#2500FF00"/>
<!-- misc -->
<NamedColor name="GeneralSelection" color="#4500FF00"/>
</NamedColors>

Starting to think about the transcode queue. What do you think about using the windows task queue to run the transcodes? That way I don't have to manage the queue, just load jobs into the windows queue. Jobs can run at windows idle which should keep multiple jobs from queing up simultaneously. You would need to set all the parameters for the job and then hit a button to load it in the queue. Make sense?
