Yep. Start up A first and it gets in. Likewise with B. I tried swapping a/B over so that A is on B's native link (swapped rooms with them) and still the same results.

This is just a limit in the gui though - you can edit config.xml and set <MVPServerAutostart> to any number you want. In theory it'd support more than 12. I wouldnt want to try it though unless you're running a very big server PC on very fast network.

Are you really going to try running this many? Is this for some type of business or do you have a lot of kids?

I'm going to do a proof-of-concept test next week with a server that has a 3GHz Quad Core Xeon processor and 8GB RAM. It is all going to be on a GigE switched network but that won't do much good since the MVPs only run at 100Mbit. If my test goes according to expectations, I'm thinking about picking up a few more MVPs to see if there is actually a max of 12 on a single network. Although for my needs, I only expect that I'll only need 10 to 12 per network.

Sorry. I did not see a commercial exclusion in the license. Thanks for pointing that out. You saved me some work.

Networking is not the issue; I it do for a living.

And besides, if it were then the second device would not be able to download the firmware file,

It's definatly something going on at the Windows end. Here I have to bow to others as I'm a Unix Wallah.
