thanks for your help sub

setting <UseBuiltInTSReader> to false got the file to play as a ts. but it seems to get stuck after a minute.

so I will simply batch rename all the .ts file to .mpg and play as that which works flawlessly

cheers!

Love the latest version!

I think this fault is also related to mine.

After upgrading to 1.2.9, my .ts files will play, but very quickly lose sync with the audio track.

Reverting back to 1.1.5 and they play fine.

I guess switching off the internal TS player will probably fix my problem, but the only reason I upgraded to 1.2.9 was to be able to play a ts video file, whilst it was still recording, something that was not possible previously. (Although I never got the chance to check that this new feature actually worked for me)

Mine is similar. Audio out of sync. But, also, many recordings while playing in pvrx2 will only show as being 12:48 long, and then stop. But the full recordings are there on the hard drive.

On other recordings, it will play for 30 seconds or so and then freeze.

I applied the new .ts patch and don't see a difference.

Here's the weirdest part to me. I can play the file in GraphEdit or Zoomplayer and the icon for Haali Splitter will show up in the corner of my screen like I expect them to. I have yet to see it show up when playing the same file in PVRx2.

If I set the "use built-in ts splitter" line to false, I would expect it to use Haali, but, again, the icon doesn't show up. It seems like PVRx2 is blocking it and wants to keep using its own thing. I figured I'd fix it at least good enough by having it use Haali, but it's not letting me. PVRx2 does use Haali for my h.264 .mkv files.

This is all after a hard drive format and fresh install.
I bet Michael Bay uses GBPVR because it's awesome:

With <UseBuiltInTSReader> set to false, try the attached file.

PVRx2 will now play the .ts files I recorded yesterday, and Haali Splitter icon shows up.

The recordings I just did play fine. My FFDshow Raw Video filter icon shows up (it wouldn't yesterday), but Haali splitter icon doesn't and is not listed in the filters when I click on the FFDshow Raw Video filter icon. So it plays, it just appears to not be using Haali. "UsebuiltinTS" still shows as false.

While recording with all tuners, I could watch the shows as they record. Timeshifting sort of worked. I could move to a different part of the timeline one time perfectly, but after that first time it would sometimes work again but usually not. I could move the cursor, the time would change, but the video would freeze. Exiting the recording and re-opening it, I could then get one perfect timeshift again.

I just checked a show that's been recording for 55 minutes. Same deal as the above paragraph, but this time I get the same length of the show error on the right side of the timeline as I was getting earlier: it shows the length as 12:48. (One-hour show with seven total minutes of padding.) When I timeshift all the way to the right, 12:48 into the program is as far as I can go, but it does keep playing fine after that point. Just can't timeshift further than that.

That's similar to before the patch. Either a (timeshifted OR recorded) file would show up as 12:48 duration in the timeline, or it would say 0:00. I think the 0:00 ones were generally the ones that would freeze after 30 seconds.

It looks like comskip is now broken, at least with the .ts files I just recorded. The .ts files from before this patch comskipped fine. There are no other files in the new recordings' directories other than the main .ts file, so it looks like comskip is entirely not kicking in for some reason. Still shows as turned on in Config.

Gettin' there. Anyone else trying it, you may have to delete the original file and then copy this one into the folder. Something kept using my original otherwise, and I couldn't figure out what so I couldn't just write over, and, no, it wasn't the recording service doing it.

Hi Sub, I'm having the same problems with .ts files from my Humax 9200t DVB-T PVR here in the UK. I've attached the logs for trying to play a couple of .ts files one with <UseBuiltInTSReader> set to true and one with <UseBuiltInTSReader> set to false. Hope they help.

My system is an AMD Athlon64 X2 4200, 2Gb PC3200 DDR, nVidia GF7600GT graphics card with 256Mb DDR3, nVidia 169.21 drivers, Win XP Home (SP2) all up-to-date, DirectX 9.0C (4.09.0000.0904)

Just bought a Samsung 22" LCD TV to act as a Tv in the bedroom and as a second screen for the PC and I can't believe how much better SD video looks from GB-PVR compared with the Samsung's built-in DVB-T tuner, my Humax through RGB Scart, or the DVD player also through RGB scart!

Keep up the good work (when you can find the time!). BTW thanks for fixing the mouse scroll when searching the guide.

Did you apply the patch from a couple of posts up.
