Season recording problem

the program was just a random show. it means in Hebrew "late night with...."
the show is a daily show that occur every night at 10 PM.
so if i tell gbpvr to record all the shows, it should mark all the shows with the same name but it dont.
although i can see the recording waiting to record, in reality it doesn't record at all....

thats the only feature i like about sagetv (not that i am comparing) but it has an option to record all similar which basically record any shows with even part of the title appear in the shows name.....

If you setup a season recording for a show that is already in progress, it doesn't record the current show. This sounds like what is happening here. The show is on every night at 10pm and you scheduled a season recording at 22:14:06.

when you asked me to post the logs, i created a random show.

in reality, i can go a day in advance and schedule a recording to record all the shows with the same title.
it will not mark the show in red at all. i went 6 days in advance and everytime the show was schedule (with the same title at the same time) it would not mark it in red.
i went to the "re-occuring" in the recording tab and i can see it there. but although it is written there, it is not written in the "waiting" and does not record.

as i said in the beginning, some does let me record and some doesnt.
i tried the default skin and changed the language to english.
did a clean reinstall and configed the config and database from scratch
the problem is still there.

If you pick an english language named show rather than a hebrew named one, does it behave any differently?

If you pick a show that occurs day and schedule a season recording, you should end up with one recoridng listed in Recordings -> Recurring, and an entry for each days episode in Recordings -> Pending. Does this happen?

If not, then I'm not aware of any other user with this problem, but I'm sure we can get to the bottom of it - we just need to work out what exactly is different about your setup.

if i schedule a season recording or any other type of recording other then a manual recording (meaning just that one), it sometimes does it and sometimes doesnt

i took my laptop, installed a new xp.
installed the gbpvr with everything in default.
i configured the PVR 150 mce with the epg file.
imported it and saw all the channels.

then turned on the pvrx2.
went to schedule one recording, went great - highlighted it and everything.
same channel different show - didnt highlight it at all.
my epg is in hebrew and it is a bit tricky to download one in english. evey software we use have it in hebrew.

i am attaching the logs from the default installations.

every week i need to manually go through all the epg and manual record everything i want.

i think i may have found a solution
right now, when i schedule a season recording it doesnt highlight it in red and it is not pending (but is on the reoccurring). i think i need to schedule it to reoccure and then when it doesnt highlight it, just manual record it as well. i just did that and it is for some reason appeared in the reoccuring.
i am right now, downloading a full epg for 10 days and will play around with it.
i will update you..

i am from israel and we have a huge htpc community that use gbpvr. we cannot download epg in english so we cannot test it if the problem is in the hebrew epg.

i think i have a direction to the right path
i noticed that 3 out of the 21 channels i have have no problem.
any show will be recorded or scheduled.
what should i check?
the epg?
the channel name?
the logo?

have any clue?

do you want me to schedule a recording on the channel that works and the channel that doesnt and post the logs?
