You're using .dvr-ms files. As I've said several times in thread already, the client/server support is only designed to work with .mpg files.

You'd need to switch to the Cyberlink or ATI to produce .mpg files.

Sub-

Not sure if you were writing to me or not but...

If I'm not using dvr-ms for regular files, are they still being recorded dvr-ms even if they have an .mpg extension? I have only a few channels (like 5) that record HD .dvr-ms extension the rest are standard definition .mpg files and those are the ones that are slow motion playback. I haven't tried playing the dvr-ms ones because I heard they weren't working.

Hi Sub,
Thanks for replying. How do I switch? I actually wasn't aware that I was using dvr-ms and I installed (or at least the mux checker says I have) the cyberlink mux.

Is this something in the config for TV I need to change?

Thanks again.

The mux is set on the top left of the 'misc2' tab in the config app.

Yeah sorry, should have looked harder.

Went through every tab looking for any dvr-ms items and found it. Have changed it on client and server, just in case, and it is still just a blank screen.

Appreciate your busy there, but I've attatched new logs if it helps. Gonna have a tinker and see what happens Smile

Cheers

Can you post the server logs also.

I'm guessing your firewall software on the server is meaning the client never manages to connect the server to stream the media and it just sits there waiting to time out.

Sub, I can't apologise enough mate.

I went onto my main PC, one with the TV card and went to get the logs. I though I'd have a look before I attached them and noticed something about tuner requests.

I then reliased I had MCE recording one channel, which I thought would be ok coz I have a dual tuner, but then realised another channel was also being watched!!!!

Killed MCE and hey presto, I have a picture upstars.....but no sound!!! Gonna have a mess around with it beacuse as with the other issues it is probably somehting daft lol.

Thanks for the pointers though, they really helped.

I focus on client/server mode when I installed gbpvr. Here is the one finally works for me:
1. Install Cyberlink mux (the default MS PVR-MS does not work for me and TS mux is not for client/server mode yet as per sub).
2. In client select "streaming", not "file sharing"
3. If you are using wifi, make sure you can reach over 20Mbps for SD program(2.5 Mbytes/s. you can copy a big file from server to client and watch the Networking in Task Manager)
