Remote Desktop no longer working with GBPVR?

Does it do sound? I used to have a RDP session to play music in my office. Unfortunately that is no longer possible, which makes me use GBPVR less than usual.

I don't think vnc does sound....although it may, and there may be different implementations of it that do. Its not something I've looked for. You could still use RDP for the sound....but you may not be able to see what you're controlling (yeah I know - you're useless psycik - stop being a dick!! )

If all you want is music pz1, maybe you could just look for a client ml2 install (accessing the main music files) or look at winamp or something. I started writing a windows client for ML2 (i.e. no gbpvr) but it's not finished (like everything id do ....sigh).

I thought so, considering the unix origin of vnc. I am used to work similtaneously with RDP's on a few servers, so using GBPVR in that manner was just convenient. It is a pity the new GBPVR version is just incompatible.

I can confirm that UltraVNC only works with video-hook-driver off. That's done in properties (not admin properties, don't ask why).
I think that Logmein free works with pvrx2 aswell, it has a very nice look and feel. Although it takes a little longer and more clicks to connect, I have a Ultavnc fastlink on the desktop with the password in it, so I only have to doubleclick that one to get to the remote system.
Logmein works very well for systems further away and behind firewalls etc, no problem there, hardly any configuration needed.

Will the termserv patch run on WinXP SP3?

I'm guessing the termserv patch will be "fixed" in sp3 - you'd have to try it. I didn't think about that...
