Is there a trick to getting WMP to play the livetv or recording files as they are being saved to the hard drive?

I keep getting an error about the file being in use.

I personally prefer klite or cccp but once again thats a personal preference. If it is a mux problem you would not be able to view the recordings in anyway ... i think, as the mux is only used for the recording side of things not the playback (my understanding - willing to be corrected) so my thoughts would be codec orientated.

I'm about to switch to klite.

The PCH can play the files fine while the are recording so I'm failty sure the clients are the problems.

WMP can't play files that are being written at the same time, VLC can but you will only get the portion of the file up to the moment that you start watching it.

That poses a troubleshooting problem. The file only skip in livetv, once the recording in finished they play just fine.

I think that has something todo with the length of the show changing all the time, gbpvr is busy checking the file-lenghth.

Cyberlink mux didn't help
Klite codecs didn't help

Well i can't figure anything else to do so I'm going to do a reinstall of xp and put dotnet 3.5 and klit and hope for the best.
