No, the graph file that GBPVR leaves crashes graphedit. When I manually contstruct a graph using the GBPVR TS reader I can connect up the MPEG2 Demultiplexer fine. I only connected up a single audio stream and the video stream to an H264 decoder and it played back ok, but it got late so I stopped playing and made sure I left it in a state for the wife to use (I accidentally broke DVD playback the previous day) so haven't concluded if my sync problems go away with that graph or not. Assuming I get it to playback fine, I'd like to see if GBPVR is doing something different but with the crashed graph it's hard to say.

I was concerned with why it seemed to be loading multiple audio decoders from what I could see in the logs, but if it connects each pin from the demux that would make sense, as I think ffdshow is likely for AAC.

Ah - you definitely cant rely on those .grf files opening. Lots of filters do not save their state correctly when requested, and cause crashes when you try to reopen them. There isnt really anything that can be done about this. Sorry.

That's grand - if there's good reason for it to crash, I'm not worried and will hold off the reformat. I'll keep playing with building graphs manually to see if I can get it to work!

Reporting back that I am still have the blind audio commentary on my trial of Hustle on BBC HD using VLC and Power DVD.

Commentary is filtered out by PRX2 but the resource problem makes the video quality too poor to watch.

I've not had much time to play with codecs etc, but during the Rugby on BBC HD I noticed that CoreAVC was pretty poor - the panning shots looked awful. Switching back to PDVD8 the panning was lovely and smooth, but I got the same little jitters every few seconds I've always had with the PDVD H264 decoders. Is there any settings I've got wrong in CoreAVC or is that to be expected?

To answer my own question - the SAF codec pack seems to work very well.
