heres the logs folder for everything i did last night
and i also just redid the xml setup on my analog devices, and checked if the channels come through... they do not
I also have a channel list but no guide data

Doesn't GBPVR have to scan for the analog channels at all???

I'm gonna ad the patches from the survival guide when i find it, i assume i only need the ones that might pertain to my system? (like i don't need the tv pack one or the vista one since i'm not using these)

Apply all the patches in order, then do a scan and post the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log

but there's no scanning as far as i can see with the analog side
i add the device and the xml, hit update... is that it?

There is no scanning for analog.

Are you running Windows 7?

Can you zip and post your hcwChanDB_5.mdb file. It should be in your documents folder. It will be a couple of hours before I can look at it though.
