OMG i think i just got it to work.
Firstly i downgraded the servers cyberlink to powerdvd 8 from 9, know this wont effect the client and only server playback, but i dont think it detects the 9 codes.
Then I noticed on the client machine that i could select a cyberlink mux but not on the server, i traced down the file and it was apparently installed with autodvr convert.
So i copied it over to the client machine and regisitered it.
And SHAZAM the streaming mode started to work, filesharing mode still bombed out after a few seconds, i assume as it thinks its reached the end of the file early.. however
BIG GRIN Streaming mode now works.. So im starting scanning, currently im just downloading EPG over the air, but next step is to get that to download over the net so i can see further than 7 days ahead.
I know ive sorta found the solution myself, however thanks to everyone especially sub for coming to my aid.
So to sum up this may help other people.
1. Install cyberlink powerdvd8 as 9 wont work at the mo
2. Get the cyberlink MpgMux.ax, mine came with autodvr convert install set both clien and server to use cyberlink mux instead of TS
3. Make sure that the recording service (GBPVRRecordingService.exe) and tray (GBPVRTray.exe) are both also added to firewall exclusions.
Set for streaming and not sharing mode on the client.
Now all i gota do is try and remap the dam VMC remote start button from launching ehshell and get it to launch GBPRV
