Yes, there is a setting that can be added to the STB's .ini file used by USB-UIRT, but I'm out of the country this week so cant check right now. (its something like InterCodeDelay=400 or similar)

DoPeFiSh: try experimenting with increasing/decreasing this value, I'm sure that was what fixed my problem about a year ago. Unfortunately I don't have that setup as I'm not using my STB anymore (just occationally for updating the key in my smartcard).

(Remember to use notepad to edit the config.xml)

I have tried lots of different things, I thought it might be a slow responsive stb but I tried the original remote with regular tv and it works every time, do you think i might have a bad usbuirt?

It is, of cource, possible that there is something wrong with your usbuirt, but usually they eighter work or don't give anything out at all. Are the transmitter and receiver far from each other? Could there be a reflection of the transmitted singan hat fools tha receiver? Something like that?
