Hi sub,

Just wondering did you get a chance to look at the database? Any suggestions?

If not, no worries, thanks for checking. I'll proceed with a reinstall.

Thanks Smile

I think you've done the upgrade to 1.4.7, then replaced the database with one from an earlier version, resulting in a missing column in the database.

To fix it, you'd need to use a tool like SQLiteSpy to execute the following SQL on the database:

Code:
alter table BDA_RECORDING_SOURCE add column ci_enabled INTEGER
update BDA_RECORDING_SOURCE set ci_enabled=0 where ci_enabled is null
Then you'd need to delete your HVR-900 capture source and recreate it.

Hi sub,

Excellent work on the diagnosis! That fix now lets GBPVR remember that the HVR-900 is a DVB-T.

Haven't been able to get it to actually work (can't initialise), and I think given the database is obviously corrupt / reverted to an old state, it'd be unfair to ask you to debug all that, so I'll try a reinstall tomorrow.

Cheers for your help! Smile

If you want to post the logs (config.exe.log and config.exe-native) again after an attempted scan, I'll take another look for you.

Hi sub,

Cheers for the offer. I've posted the logs for you.

The first time it came up with "GBPVR cannot initialise the BDA device" or something to that effect, then I unpluged the tuner and put it back in again. Second time, no error, but no channels found. Still works on my laptop using same TV antenna connection.

No errors in that log, but the device never managed to lock onto a signal.

Hi sub,

Thanks for all your help. I got it working again. I unplugged both tuners and inserted only the HVR-900. GBPVR picked it up and operated it fine. Plugged the Nova-T in again, works that one fine too.

Mystery, but there are a few other gremlins in the computer that I think this may be another symptom of! I think over the Christmas holidays this machine is getting a long overdue overhaul.

I think what we can take away from this is GBPVR is excellently written and sub's diagnostic skills are superb! Thanks again. Smile
