I recorded Realtree Outdoors at 12:30 am and tried to watch it and got kicked to desktop. The file is there but it isn't playable in GBPVR, VLC or WM.

I recorded Reba at 9 am using DVRMS and tried to watch it, I got a 1 second sound clip then silence and a black screen which I right click to get out of like a normal recording. This file is playable in WMP. I would like to get GBPVR to play the DVRMS file since my ts recordings have always been problematic and DVRMS has worked in the past.

How big is the recording?

Are you able to make a short broken .ts recording available for me to download and look at?

Can you try deregistering the GBPVRFlowStats filter again, then try watching a .dvr-ms recording, then post the logs again.

I got the ts problem sorted, I was racking my brains trying to figure out what was different now besides OS and I remembered I had AC3 filter installed before. I installed AC3 and selected it for AC3 decoder and now the new ts files I recorded play. I tried deregistering the filter but when I try to watch live tv I get kicked to the desktop and when I set up a recording I wind up with an empty folder and my recording status doesn't show any tuners doing anything. I guess I'm stuck with ts and have to remove comskip for now.

I don't know if you saw this thread about the new version of comskip but they are reporting good results with it in the USA http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=45504 maybe worth a look?

Pretty sure that's the version I have but there is a new one that came out saturday so maybe it will work better.

If you post the logs, I'm happy to look why. It should work fine without it, and has for other users.

LiveTV fails for me too with the flow status filter de-registered; this error shows up in the PVRX2.EXE log:

I had never tested Live TV that way, only with playback. I've always run with the MPEG-2 decoder set to System Default. So, my apologies for suggesting that de-registering the filter would solve your problem.

Go ahead and re-register your filters. Make sure your default mpeg-2 decoder is the one you want to use, then set your decoder choice to System Default in the config app.

By doing this, you're telling GB-PVR to just let Windows build the playback graph on it's own, and thus the GB-PVR Flow Status filter won't be used for recording playback. It does still get used for LiveTV though, which is what you want. This also allows Auto Aspect Ratio to work for LiveTV.

I'll do a test tomorrow, tonight is my big tv night and the system is recording all night. I'm hoping to get DVRMS working so comskip will work.
