OrakelJos, the word audio is misleading it should say media but I've never gotten around to change it.

Your logs just show a crash not even an attempt to resume. Could you place a 100 MB sample of the beginning of this file on megaupload.

I posted the question regarding the h.264 resume with recordings about 2 weeks ago. I was getting ready to post some logs, but then I saw you released another version that may address the issue. I thought I should try that version out before posting logs. I just have not had chance to switch out versions yet. I will need to setup the key mappings too since I need to control the volume from the remote. Kids and work have just not allowed time to tinker with it yet.

I always see the issue when trying to resume on recordings with made with a HDPVR. NMT and HDPVR seem like common combination, so I am surprised this issue has not been raised by others.

mvallevand Wrote:@OrakelJos, I mixed up a couple of the keys in my table, I had mapped Delete to Repeat which was PreviousChannel now it is is Record. The archive is fixed, and there is another bad mapping too, Source is now officially Menu. Angle and Home will continue to work too, until I need them.

lircd has been updated too.

As for the Resume from Recordings menu, since no one at all responded to this release, I have decided to consider this function in the "unsupported" category. If you upload your telnet logs I will be happy to have a look, but I am not going to continue to spend hours debugging since GBPVR users have shown me they don't use it.

What do you need for Resume? I use it all the time & it seems to work.

Occasionally, if comskip has marked the first part of the recording as commercial, the initial skip happens before the resume kicks in, but overall, I'm pretty happy with it...

I'm not sure what I need, it does work for me. Sheik Yerboti spent a lot helping me debug a timing issue, GBPVR sends the request to seek before the NMT has demuxed enough to seek and it was really tough fitting this in around the GBPVR bug that requires mvpmcx2 to normalise the reported timeline and I thought the logic was pretty sound.

It works for SD recordings. I have problems with HD recordings as was also noticed by Chris previously.
100MB cut wil be sent today to Martin.

Martin: 100MB chunk uploaded to MegaUpload http://www.megaupload.com/?d=DANCINZA
Have tested that this chunk is playable with VLC. The resume function on this file works perfectly in GBPVR but not on the NMT.
Good Luck Smile

The timeline was odd in this file causing some resume problems (it did resume but the time on GBPVR was off) so I loaded it into VLC and its doesn't play from the beginning, indicating the first few seconds have DRM. Try removing this DRM content and see if you have any luck.

The file was decrypted during recording and plays here quite normal as far as I can see.
How can I remove this DRM content and what could have caused it to be only for a couple of seconds? I believe I don't have any DRM enabled equipment.
Why does GBPVR has no problem in resuming this file?
BTW: all channels here are encrypted and recorded by GBPVR decrypted.

Edit:
I have just checked you comment on the DRM content with VLC. It has nothing to do with DRM but the first couple of seconds the recording is still scrambled before the hardware CAM kicks in and the decrypting starts. I do not believe there is very much I can do on this or GBPVR should first tune to the right channel, wait a couple of seconds so that the CAM can start its business and then start recording. Perhaps Sub has any ideas on this and also on the fact that GBPVR has no problem with resuming. Is it a timing problem in mvpmcx2 vs.gbpvr?
