As for you ir blaster, see if you can mount it inside the stb infront of the receiver eye. This give a neater setup (route the wire out the back), it seem to work better and stopped the kids pulling the blaster off the front of the STB!

I have a blaster question, but ill post that in new thead.

I'm not sure if you're experiencing anything similar to me.

I had my HVR running on Comcast analog.

I went to FIOs a couple weeks back.

Today, I finally got the STBOX and IRBlaster working through WinTV (kindof Smile and that was only a step to get back to GBPVR.

The transition wasn't working. WinTV I could eventually get a channel - GBPVR would just give me a bunch of static. It was obvious to me GBPVR wasn't locked into the magic Channel 3. All my digital programming showed up from a couple weeks back, from my schedules direct download.

Then, I read here that someone went in and deleted all their channels from the config menu, and reloaded the EPG, so I decided to give it a whirl.

Well, deleting what seemed like 600 channels one at a time wasn't going well.

So, I figured the easier path was to just whack the Capture Source since the channels were associated with that, and start over.

I did it, and it fixed everything. Why? Because I must've had the old capture source configuration, not the required one with "Source" set to "Fixed-Channel External Tuner" set to constant Channel #3. That I believe has fixed all my GBPVR woes for now, and I'm off to get me a new STBOX!

Good luck.
