Hard acceleration not working in GBPVR, but does outside of it

I only have the filter, not pdvd itself. Version 8 PDVD

ok i will try loading just the decoder and see what happens
i wonder if gbpvr is actually looking for something else hence why it doesnt load the vmr file as you want it to
thats what seems to happen with the audio decoder
even though other programs selected the correct audio decoder gbpvr couldnt find it
no matter what i added to the config file

stustunz, I don't have PDVD 7 on this machine but I'll check tomorrow to see where it stores the reg entries. I think it may be under Cyblerlink\PowerDVD instead of Cyberlink\Common. It could also be under HKLM instead of HKCU.

seems stange that wmp selects the correct decoder its just gbpvr that doesnt
dont stress about it but just interested more than anything to know why

Just thought of something. Are you selecting "Cyberlink Audio Decoder" or "Cyberlink Audio Decoder (PDVD7)"? It should be the one with "(PDVD7)". I can't remember if I had to add it in config.xml or not.

yeah i have used gspot to get the different names and tried them
there are 2 decoders that show up in gspot
one lets me select more speakers the other doesnt
im guessing thats the one gbovr keeps selecting it doesnt seem to like the other one at all
even acts funny in graph edit aswell
just want someone else to have a look and see what they get
its a shame cause the power dvd 7 decoder works way better than any other video decoder
and be nice to have the matching audio decoder

Can you post a screenshot of the properties window when selecting it from Config.exe?

Sub, if I save a filter and post it, could you make heads or tales of it and perhaps let me know how I can use the filter to apply it to GBPVR? I did manage to get a working one. It was using avivo, but I also have cyberlink 8 and maybe I could try that too and post it...would that be of any help for my situation? I'll have to wait until tonite because I didn't save it.

I'm not really sure what you're asking.

Are you saying you want to use a different MPEG2 decoder filter that the config app doesnt list?

I guess I'm asking if I post the combination of filters that worked, if you could comment on it and perhaps steer me in the right direction of how to apply them.

However, the only change that I can see is in one of the options on the VMR9 filter. The filter that worked looks like this:

source movie->ATI Decoder->VMR9 (with BOB deinterlacer setting)

I *think* that's almost the same way you have it setup, minus the BOB option on VMR9. I have no problem tweaking registry settings or whatnot, but I don't know what to tweak to make GBPVR use that particular deinterlace setting on the VMR9 filter.

EDIT: Oh, and there are no setting with the ATI Decoder. And setting the deinterlacer in catalyst makes no difference. It's all about the VMR9 filter.
