You don't have to delete the original profile
You do have to select that new profile in the config application (in the processing tab)
Below is results with different files, different resolutions and lengths, but with a XviD and quantizer of 5. It may give a rought idea of what to expect in terms of file sizes

ave you gotten it to run automatically from the config file? Mine simply did nothing last night, no errors or anything.

edit: and yes, i did select it under configuration

Yes, but it runs only on new recordings I think. Did you have anything recorded last night?
I found a workaround to have it run on old ones, but it involves editing the .mdb, so I don't think it's a good idea to post here.

Plus you might want to see how it runs on a limited subset of recordings first Big Grin

I had some stuff record yesterday...but I think all of it recorded BEFORE I reset the config file to the new divx command (i updated my config file and changed the processing configuration at about 11:00 last night, I don't think I had anything else record after that)....does that matter? I thought it was set up to process any file that hadn't been processed yet....as long as it was showing up in the 'ready' tab in gbpvr?

edit: i just checked, and I did....I had a show record at 11:30...and another at 12:00, and they are unchanged.....full 900 mb mpeg2's.

It'll do it for recordings you've made after you set the post processing options.

Dear Forum,

I made an attempt at compiling my own ffmpeg.exe and libmp3lame-0.dll with help from http://soenkerohde.com/tutorials/ffmpeg/ and the result is two files, ffmpeg.exe and libmp3lame-0.dll that works in a different way than the ones that comes with GBPVR09516.

The main difference is that the fourcc is set to DIVX when chosing the mpeg4 codec and that the -hq option works.

I pretty much followed the instructions from the above url when I compiled the files, however I did leave out the ./configure options --enable-memalign-hack and --enable-mingw32. If I kept these option the ffmpeg wouldn't work at all. My guess is that the windows porting of ffmpeg is still a bit shaky and buggy, hopefully the bugs will be sorted out in the future.

I tried to attach the files for you to try but I get an error everytime I try to upload to the forum so I recommend compiling the files for yourself.

Thats funny, I followed the same tutorial, but included the --enable-memalign-hack and --enable-mingw32 options.

Well mine says
ffmpeg version 0.4.9-pre1, build 4718
And the GBPVR one is
ffmpeg version CVS, build 3277056

So I guess yours is more current (?) I found mine from the http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles...p_id=16082
