Do the mpeg 2 video decoders matter? Im using elecard

I've only tried cyberlink and dvr ms muxes...and both have the same results...

Yes, decoders matter big time when it comes to HDTV.

The mpeg 2 decoders matter...hmm interesting...Are there any that work better with atsc hdtv than others?

EDIT: Using Cyberlink mpeg 2 (ati) and overlay manager..... Its not as choppy...but the video is really dark and over saturated...

I know alot of the guys using the Fusion device used the Zulu one that came with the included software, as this performed much better than other options.

I'm not sure what other decoders work well with ATSC HDTV. We dont have HDTV in my country, so I dont have first hand experience with it.

Actually, I think I remember another user saying the nvidia decoder also worked well.

Its better using nVidia with vmr9 and dvr-ms mux...but its still pretty choppy.......

If you do a recording, can you play the same files in any other directshow player on your machine, for example Windows Media Player? You maybe nvidia 6200 and/or Sempron CPU is the bottleneck (i'm guessing the former).

Exactly which 6200 do you have? I see some of them dont have hardware accelleration for HDTV content. http://www.nvidia.com/page/purevideo_support.html
