Hate to pester, but I'm liking the principal of this. Maybe I'm just not in sync.

I renamed the files so be ShowName.S#E#.Episode.avi and I get this:

The imdb.com page for this is:

While it's processing, I get this:

I also tried this approach:
ShowName\Season 1\EpisodeName.avi

Got results, but the description didn't match the show.

Also, does it truncate the description?

Have you thought of using theTVdb.com?

Again, not trying to pester, just curious.

With the exception of the first one it will show up nicely in gbpvr - the issue is with the episode name starting with "300" so I will take a look.

Also it shouldn't use IMDB for this - let me make a fake directory like yours and see what happens.

try this version - It was finding two possible episode strings with the first 1.

This is the result I get:

When the plasma arrives at Darmon's boat, a mishap causes the container to tumble to the bottom of the sea in waters too deep for human diving. Smile

I'm guessing this version needs .Net 3.5. Why would I guess that?

K, it imported as Flipper.s01

The shows show up as:
Flipper.so1: e01.300 Feet Below

That's with files like this:
Flipper\Flipper.S01E01.300 Feet Below.avi
Currently Running: 1.4.7

That looks like what its supposed to do - I had to make some executive decisions on naming format. But if something is more logical I am open to that.

I know RegEx is a bear, but I'm wondering if, for the group, you could change the .s to " Season " and 01 to 1. (Perhaps as another optional param?)

And the episode:
Flipper: 300 Feet Below
?

If it's a .Net app, maybe I could even write some of the RegEx conversion stuff for you.
