The setting always exists in config.xml, unless you've deleted it for some reason. It never shows the checkbox in the config app.

I'll keep an eye on how many people have success with this new patch. If a large number get it working with acceleration on a secondary monitor, then I'll put the checkbox back for the next release.

One question. I see you updated nativeutilities.dll as well as PVRX2.exe ...
are these one-off fixes or will they be permanent additions to the
executables?

carrick1973 Wrote:Awesome SUB - You are the man! You really do have dedication to this product which is excellent. If you could make this part of the 'official' 1.0+ application, it would truly be appreciated by quite a number of us 'dual use' computer users. Even if it was a 'use at your own risk' checkbox on the main tab!

Yes, its part of the offical build, so will be included in the next release.

I'll wait for further feedback before I decide if I should put the checkbox back in the config app.

Quote:(Additionally, with the nativeutilities.dll - does it include the latest
HVR-1600 QAM fixes, or is this version modified from the original version?)
Yes, it includes the HVR1600 QAM fixes from earlier versions of this file.

Just tried the patch on my PC with an X800 on a second monitor and it's working just as good as on the primary monitor.

Thanks Sub (you made what remains on my day).

First of all, I haven't tried the patch, yet. Thanks for finding the workaround and I am excited (despite your advice)!

Secondly, I had gotten PVRX2 on my second monitor by allowing it to start in full screen on Monitor 1, then hitting Alt + Enter. That shrunk it to this tiny window. After dragging that window to Monitor 2, I hit the fullscreen button on the window and it took up the full screen. Finally, hitting Alt+Enter again takes away the borders and makes it look just as beautiful as GBPVR.

It works just fine on my particular system and I haven't noticed a real increase in processor load. It went from around 3% to around 5-6% idle. No biggie. The real problem was the hastle I would have to go through to get the program the way I wanted it... it just wouldn't do as a long term solution. Hopefully that patch will save me!!! Thanks again, Sub!

Okay, I just applied the patch and it works just fine. Now that that is fixed I can really appreciate the upgrade. Excellent, excellent work Sub. It looks beautiful. For this, I will probably donate a little bit when i get paid!

EDIT: Intersting note, it doesn't want to minimize when you double click the taskbar. Is that some kind of artifact of the new architecture or is that some kind of bug. Not that I really care one way or the other about minimizing it, but I was just curious.

Since I started off this thread... I'm so excited to get home and try it (off on business until the end of the week).

Echoing others, thanks again sub... Can't wait to try it!

Patch works fine for me. Smooth menus and playback. Live TV isn't working but it's always been buggy for me and I don't need it.

The new look really brings the app up a few notches. The old interface was really dated.

For the people who only have one monitor....How do you do maintenance / view the config app etc on your PVR machine? Are you using the TV for this stuff or VNC?

But it did have the checkbox in 0.99 builds. Just wondering if the change in 1.08 is due to the entry being missing from the config.xml. I can't test it because I'm not at my friend's place. Using him as test subject before updating my system. He's a first time install, so made sense to install 1.08 on his system.

The checkbox was removed in 1.0.8. Its not conditionally displaying this checkbox based on anything.
