Well I could always do a season prefix and episode prefix setting. The reason for 01 is so that is sort correctly if you have above ten.

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but when I run vidimport.exe (either from the command line or by dragging and dropping a video file onto the exe) I get a Vista error that 'the program closed' and a blank .xml file is generated...
Is this compatible with Vista? (I've already disabled UAC and A/V software)

Any ideas?

Hmmm, I don't have vista. But do you have .net 3.5 installed?

No I didn't - I installed .Net 3.5 for Vista and it now works. Thanks!

Right now the season stuff is a bit hardcoded -

if there were files like Flipper.s1e01.300 Feet Below ... it should group them as
Flipper.s01 with shows E01: 300 Feet Below or something like that.

1.0 on the wiki
this improves TV episode lookup and creates a showfile.txt which holds lookups for cancelled shows so you don't waste bandwidth looking for them again.

Also adds these parms:
eprefix="whatever you want to precede episode numbers -default = e"
esuffix="whatever you want after episode numbers -default=."
sprefix="whatever you want before season numbers-default=s"
sinepisode - if this is find then the show title with season is put in the epsiode title.

default looks like this
show title = "The Mentalist.s01"
episode title = "e01.Red Tide"

with sinepisode the episode title becomes "The Mentalist.s01.e01.Red Tide"

Looks pretty nifty, esp. with drag and drop and auto naming, although I must admit I currently find MpegImport's little interface a bit easier for manual addition of detail. (See pic)

With MpegImport I added these over the years, would you consider adding the ones you don't have already?

It should have most of those extensions already - I will look through and add those that don't exist in the next few days. I could look into a gui as well as soon as I have some free time. WizMetadata may do the same thing already.
