Oops - I only added it to the single file code so if you drop a directory it won't see the new filetypes. - I'll release a gui that fixes that soon with wmv as well.

Releasing 1.36 - if you use vidImport.exe startingDirectory gui - a gui similar to mpegImport will appear.

Unforunately I can't get it to run?

Would be good to have iot's own exe too e.g. vidimportGUI.exe so you don't have to run a batch?

Give it a starting directory and it will work eg vidimport.exe d:\ gui as to a second exe, you can always create a shortcut with the gui arg in it and it will do the same thing.

I usually just assign it a drive letter, I haven't tried URL's they may work as well (eg smb:\\mediaCenter\aSharedDriver

it didnt like the spaces in my drive names ie "E drive" had to be "Edrive"

Metadata should move with the file.

Try: notepad filename:metadata.xml to see if the metadata exists with the file.

Curious: none of my files show me any metadata when I try this.

Is this utility abandoned or would it be possible to enhance/extend Vidimport to also call "NextPVR.exe -import Videos.xml"?
