Xvid decoder problem?

People who are getting truncated conversions, I posted something on this a while ago. All mine were getting truncated at 1:43:33

Same if I used mencoder which I believe uses the same library as ffmpeg anyway.

If I reduced the bitrate then the whole length file played back. I think it's an issue with >1GB resulting files being handled with the library used by both ffmpeg and mencoder because I have bigger AVIs converted with PocketDVD Studio which work fine.

Try a different mencoder build. I downloaded a build of mencoder from these forums and it worked fine until I had to convert a show longer than two hours...this killed it. I then went and got a different build from mplayerhq.com and that fixed it. I've transcoded 3 hour shows at 10 GB original size to 1 GB xvid successfuly.

It was never the input size that was my problem, it was the output file size.
