Launch in High Priority

I was having problems with my computer stuttering gbpvr untill I increased the priority of gvpbr.exe (all instances) to above normal or even high.

I know how I will launch the gbpvr on the console at a higher priority, but have no idea how to get it to happen when using the mvp... I was thinking of creating another exe that would call gbpvr in a higher priority and rename gbpvr.exe. I do not know the reprocussions of that action. I am, obviously, open to other suggestions.

Well, one step closer...

Upon closer examinaton all processes launch with an affinity to processor 0. Since I have multiple processors I want to manage this. Since I am launching multiple gpvr's *essentally* I found a program that will set the affinity of the console program to the second processor. It seemed that all the gbpvr processes were all on the same processor and overloading it (it is only a 1ghz p3 afterall!)

I copied another gbpvr as gbpvrc.exe (c for console), created a batch program that will start it with high priority, then sleep for 3 seconds (it takes that long for the process to spawn) then set the affinity to the second processor for a process named gbpvrc.exe. So far, so good!

Two settings from config.xml that could have helped you with this:

What version are you running? I'm fairly sure I added it before the v0.96.12 release. I could be mistaken though (meaning v0.97).

I have been trying to figure out how to launch from the tray app with above normal priority and have not been able to figure it out either. I checked my config.xml and I don't have those lines either. There is one for the recording service and one for MVP.

I could not find the setting in my config (96.12). Adding did not harm, but did not change anything eighter.

I use Process Priority Optimizer. The free version monitors the active window and can set its priority on the fly. I set priority to high (abovenormal seems not enough) and am quite happy with the results.
