Does anyone know if it is possible to play DRM protected movies downloaded from Telstra's (Australia) Bigpond movie download service (or anyone esle for that matter)?
I downloaded some test files which work fine playing on the PC via Windows Media Player v10 but nothing via GBPVR - either the PC or the MVP.
I assume it doesn't work via GBPVR is because the DRM can't be decoded by GBPVR - does that sound right? I emailed Bigpond support but they could onlyl confirm that it would work via a Media Centre Extender (with XP Media Centre) - I guess a Media Centre Extender would have the smarts to decode the DRM.
Is ther anyway that GBPVR can use Windows Media Player to send the video signal to an MVP? Would a variation on the DVD transcoding trick work?
Anyway - I don't want to go back to watching movies on the 17"LCD PC monitor when I could be watching them on the 32" LCD TV....
