Hi all,

Am new to GB PVR. Have installed the software and have run it for a few days. Use it for watching digital TV and watching DIVX movies. I like what I see.

How do I set the aspect ratio of the playback? The vision is stetched to fill the 4:3 ratio, where it naturally should be 16:9. How can I influence the aspect ratio? I look forward to learned replies! Smile

Cheers Andrew

You can press the F7 key to toggle aspect ratios.

Thank you very much. That solved it. I missed that when searching the wiki. Question closed. Smile

There isnt a remote button mapped to this by default, but there is nothing to stop you adding a button mapping for this to the irremote.ini file.

it is in the windows directory.

on my remote i have mapped the 'mute' button to F7 (i mute the sound on my 6.1 decoder so i don't need that button on the remote).
so i looked for the 'GB-PVR'-section in the file and edited the mute-button entry to look like this:
MUTE={f7}
AMD 1600mHz, 512 M RAM, 20+160 GB drive, Hauppauge PVR-350 + PVR-150 + PVR-150MCE, Win XP Pro SP3, using software decoding.

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

ok found the file and can see a lot of entries in there but would like to keep the mute button - i see the # button isnt mapped - is it just a case of putting #={f7} in the ini file or is that button mapped with a different name ?

I think the hash and star keys are named a bit differently in the ini file (I think the * key may be used in GBPVR, but the # key is free) - * is called TEXT and # is called SUBCC in irremote.ini

cheers,

tieke
