Will you be adding this to the 97.7 survival guide? That was a great idea to do that post. Great place to find the latest patches.

Sub,
I was just bitten again, after having played several videos last night and this morning, including several on/off cycles, with no problems. Here are the logs.

No, not yet. Something is still lurking.

I've been unable to reproduce this problem here. If someone with this problem is on broadband, and can temporarily enable VNC access, I'd like to connect and take a look.

I may be able to set something up for you. I am on East Coast USA time. When would you need me to work with you?

I did get to look at another users machine this morning, but no real progress on understanding what exactly is happening.

As far as I can tell, it sounds like some difference between .net 2.0 and .net 1.1 relating to sockets not closing cleanly.

Can someone that has this problem please try the attached patch?

I've been unable to reproduce the problem here, but have made some minor changes in the area I'm guessing is causing problems. At the very least it'll generate a few extra log messages that might help me find the problem.

Mine as well. Timeline for the logs......

11:14 turn MVP on (from standby) Connects to server fine, watch a recording for a second or two - fine.

11:15 turn MVP to standby (green button)
11:16 turn MVP on - just sits at 'connecting to servers'
11:17 turn MVP off
11:18 turn MVP on - same, can't connect to servers.
11:19 turn MVP off
11:20 shutdown gbpvr services and zip up logs

Sub, I tried last night (well today at 2:27 AM) patch (gbpvr.zip). It worked at first but after a power recycle., the problem persists. I am unable to view recordings or live tv.

I have one H2 firmware and anoter D3A. It seems to work a bit better on the H2.

I have tried the included dongle.bin, then I tried the 3.0.20488 with same results.

Finally I tried the 3.2.24110 and no difference.

And I turned off the firewall also.

I am using 97.07 still using MS Access. I need to fix this before I can move to SQlite, which is the main reason for my upgrade.

On a different subject, can you or any of the members be so kind as to PM me the 96.12 version ? I was using 95.16 and had not upgraded yet to 96.12.

Thanks

I am attaching all logs.
