Have you got a set of steps that stand a good chance of reproducing the problem? I'll have to try to get it to happen here - there is no obvious reason in the info above.

Well as I suspected, from home i can't reproduce the problem, whereas from the office I managed to crash it within 5-10 mins of clicking - no specific steps required. As mentions, I crashed it on one occasion just by clicking the forward (>>) button on the EWA page.
This was the same situation last week. Crashed several times when connected from the office but I couldn;t crash it from home, despite spending well over an hour trying to. FWIW: From both locations, I use the full DNS name http://me.dyndnsname.org:500??/gbpvr/guide.aspx [edit: from event log] Eventid: 5000 EventType clr20r3, P1 gbpvrrecordingservice.exe, P2 1.0.2344.23214, P3 38, P4 system, P5 2.0.0.0, P6 4333ae87, P7 2bb9, P8 17, P9 system.net.sockets.socket, P10 NIL. very odd. btwhould i leave dw20 enabled to help debugging?

Unfortunately I work from home, so its not easy for me to reproduce it.

is there anything more that I can do to obtain a stack trace/exception list?
I will try again on wed. when I am in the office and test it without the videoarchive.dll which has caused some people problems in this area. PM me if you want access to my pc. cheers

Hey all,
I am getting a similar error that i believe is related to connecting to my GBPVR box via the web. I am running SSL explorer for remote access to my network, (cool app, you should check it out) and my recording service seems to be crashing frequently. The weird thing is that the .net errors are not at times where i would be connecting to my network from home, generally between 6-9 pm. I get a lot of these: EventID 5000 source .Net runtime error message: EventType clr20r3, P1 gbpvrrecordingservice.exe, P2 1.0.2344.23214, P3 38, P4 system, P5 2.0.0.0, P6 4333ae87, P7 2bb9, P8 17, P9 system.net.sockets.socket, P10 NIL. Any ideas?

Can you guy please apply the attached patch?
This will give me the information I need when the problem next occurs. If you can reproduce the problem at will - even better. Post the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log next time it occurs.
