i tried the patched native utils and it worked great here, i put it back to normal to ensure the problem was there, and it was. but i am having great issues with the latest purevideo driver changes, such as jerky video, poor deinterlacing, etc. so i am rolling back my video drivers to an older version.

They seem to work in the regular VMR9 renderer. I better double check. If those are not supposed to be supported then is there another way to do the same thing. After adjusting the desktop to fit the tv, the Desktop and GBPVR were sized correctly but I had to zoom the video by about 5% to get it to fill the screen.

Thanks,

Kyle

How do I install the NativeUtilities patch? I downloaded the zip file and uncompressed it using Winrar. I'm now left with a file called NativeUtilities without any extension. What do I do with this file?

Apparently it's a forum bug, rename it to .zip and then extract it again. Weird thing is that sometimes downloads work for me.

Speaking of forum bugs Sub, is there a known issue with thread update email notifications? I only very occasionally get notified of new posts in my subbed threads, for example I missed two entire pages of this thread until I got notified just now! Greatly appreciate the patch though, giving in a spin later.

Works great for me too, excellent. I can finally unstretch my vertical. When I got my 6200 card recently I temporarily squashed my 4:3 a little so that either aspect doesn't look too weird - you actually get used to it after a while but I'm glad to go back Smile.

I dont know. I've never used this myself. A couple of people have reported similar in the past, but I've never got around to looking into it.

Glad to hear it works for you. Still...I hope nvidia fix the problem one day.

sub Wrote:Can an nvidia owner or two please try the attached patch, with your renderer set to VMR9 Custom? Please let me know if it helps get rid of the screen corruption when you change aspect ratios with DXVA enabled.

Nice work Sub, I've given the new dll file a try and can report it fixes vmr9 aspect ratio bug on my pci-e 7600GT and another agp 6200.

There is some slight tearing in the top 5% of the image during 1080i playback using the custom allocator setting. I've previously noticed this before when using the vmr9 custom allocator setting before applying the patched nativeutilities.dll.

The tearing is not noticiable when playing 576i material. It also does not occur at 1080i playback when using the vmr9 setting only. My display resolution is set 720p 50Hz and I'm using a panasonic ae500 projector.

Thanks
Daza

Sorry, I dont think there is anything I could really change that would help that.

Lets hope that nvidia fixes the problem some time in the near future.

Did you try their developer page I mentioned, and have you heard anything back? I used to have some good contacts there a few years back, but then all those guys moved over to ATI, and I've been out of the loop for a few years.
