I record a show in DVR-MS

config is set to auto convert immediately

But it doesn't do anything

If I run gbpvrconvert from the command line it converts no problem

IS there anything else I need to make it work?

What verison of GB-PVR are you running?

I'm fairly sure there was a patch posted for this somewhere recently. That thread was started by bgowland.

it is 96.12. I cannot get any of the 97s to work as they will not find any channels for me - they all show up as unkinown. I have to install 94.13 first and then upgrade to 96.12

Any help on that too???!!!

Sorry - teh patch did not work - my problem is that only DVR-MS allows me to record on my compro t200 and my pVR 250 at the same time. If I use cyberlink the picture breaks up

If you can open your gbpvr.mdb in Access (you'll need to stop the Recording Service first), take a look at the TRANSCODE QUEUE table to see if you have 'stuck' entries in there. I can't remember the exact thread sub mentions above but I do remember a problem I had where mpg files recorded with my PVR350 and PVR500 were being added to this table but I had no option set for transcoding mpeg2 files. This seemed to confuse the transcoder thread and basically just jammed things up.

If there are entries in there, then delete everything in the table.

Remember, sub recommends people don't hack their DB so it's a case of 'at your own risk'. Obviously, make a backup of the mdb first.

Cheers,
Brian

Hmmm - there seems to be nothing in the transcode queue.

The options are getting whittled down....

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Yep. Sorry - other than that, I can't help any further. The only other issue I ever had was a filename (path) length problem with an older version of GB-PVR. TV shows with ridiculously long names would result in a path that was longer than the conversion process could handle. I'm sure that would have been fixed before 0.96.12 though - can't remember - brain cooking (it's 36C in my home office). I'm guessing this is happening to you for a variety of shows (short and long titles)?

Cheers,
Brian
