I just discovered that net radio is not working for me in v0.97.9. Updatet to v0.97.13 but it did not help.

When I try to use my favourites gb-pvr freezes for a long time befor giving me this error:
"Failed to download stations definition: System.Net.WebException: The operation has timed out at System.Net:FileWebRequest.GetResponse() at GBPVR.xba31869e4b679d0f.xbb1fe6ac04717ad(Object xe15d45da66d44713)"

It's the same for all my favourites, and all were working on previous versions (0.96.08, 0.95.16, 0.94.13, 0.93.10, 0.92.08). They are also working with winamp.

When I try the radio stations under "web", first gbpvr tries ("Trying: http.//..."), then I get "Failed to connect to radio station"

Edit: Added log files

Set you logging level back to debug, then reproduce the problem and repost the logs.

I had this same problem this morning, but it has since gone away. Perhaps it was a network hickup with the Shoutcast server?

Sorry about that!

Here's the logs @debug level.

I tried 2 different favourites and 3 radio stations, all with same errors as posted earlier.

It looks like the request isnt making to the shoutcast server. Maybe a firewall in the way?

No change in setup anywhere in my network. Just the upgrade of gbpvr. Going to shoutcast and opening stations with winamp works fine.

The favourites work fine with winamp, no problem connecting there. Any idea why they don't work with gbpvr anymore?

No sorry, I dont know. I've checked here and its working fine. I've also not seen any other reports.

The logs really look like its unable to connect to the shoutcast server, much like you'd see with a firewall getting in the way.

Yes, it looks like a firewall problem, but there is no firewall on the computer. I do have a firewall in my router, but that firewall is only checking incoming trafick. I can't see how that firewall should see the differense between a stream directed at winamp anda a stream directed at gbpvr.
I also have some of the .pls saved as .m3u and gbpvr plays them (with Music library)

I'm not sure if the problem came with the instalation of 0.97.9 or later (can't remember if I tried the net radio right after the install). Could this have something to do with any of the recent updates of .net runtime? (desperate longshot)

All ideas are welcome! My next alternative is to try a clean install of gbpvr and maybe windows too. (Haven't realy got the time for that now Sad )

Request timed out when trying to ping http://www.shoutcast.com. (Does http://www.shoutcast.com answere ping at all? SSH'ed to another computer on a different network tried there and got "no answer from www.shoutcast.com".) I can open http://www.shoutcast.com with all browsers and play streams there (winamp).
Many of my favourites are not from shoutcast.com, but lockal radio statons and they have the same problem. (Work with winamp but not gbpvr, get the error in post 1)

My router is a SMC, but I'm sure it's not a problem with the firewall.

Ggg,
Did you ever get Net Radio to work? I have the same problem as you. I can listen to streaming audio just fine through WMP but Net Radio in GB-PVR times out.
