Nearly at my wit's end, so hopefully this all makes sense.

Did a hardware upgrade and went to a theoretically perfect (on paper) HTPC mobo around the beginning of June, and for whatever reason, GB-pvr seems to have a difficult time with my Hauppauge PVR150 tuner card. Setting it up as a 150 means that I get an "Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object" message when going to LiveTV. Having searched the forums, I saw a reference from Sub that some PVR150s are actually PVR250s, and so I changed the capture source to a PVR250, which made it usable but flakey (good enough for recording the whole of the World Cup, and so here I am).

The same card worked just fine as a PVR150 in my old rig, with an MSI KM4AM, so that may not be the issue. Tried all sorts of earlier versions (94.13, 95.16, 97.07) of the app too, to no avail.

The GBPVR.exe-native.log looks like this . . .

They're not, but I have seem two reports of PVR250s being sold as PVR150s.

Can you download and run the prodinfo tool from the Hauppauge website?

Sorta what I was implying by what I had said. The packaging was labelled PVR150, the receipt says it's a PVR150, but as it turns out, it's a PVR250.

Update: installed PVR250 drivers and set capture source to PVR250 and everything seems tickity-boo!Big Grin

Odd that my prvious rig was so stable using the PVR150 drivers for this card . . .

Thanks for all of your help Sub, and keep up the great work! That reminds me, I've been meaning to make a donation for quite some time now . . .
