it was when i recreated the error. I had to end the process in order to copy the log file.

One of the logs I wanted to look at is zero bytes long. Can you try stopping the recording service and gbpvr, delete all the logs, then reboot and try again, then post the logs again?

Is there also a file called GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log?

Also, do you have any errors listed in the Windows Event Viewer?

Event viewer lists an error in GBPVR recording service

"The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( GB-PVR Recording Service ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Service cannot be started. The service process could not connect to the service controller."


sounds like I need a fresh install...?
