Good suggestion. I seem to be getting somewhere now. With these settings:

Quote:[MSI TV@nywhere - Hauppauge PVR250]
BLACKBIRD=0
CONEXANT=1
INIT_MODE=DEFAULT
INIT_MSP=0
SUPPORTS_FM_RADIO=0
FILTER_CROSSBAR=MSI 8606 Crossbar
FILTER_CAPTURE=Conexant 2388x Video Capture
FILTER_TV_TUNER=MSI 8606 Tuner
FILTER_TV_AUDIO=MSI 8606 TV Audio
PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_TUNER_IN=Video Tuner In
PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_VIDEO_OUT=Analog Video
PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_AUDIO_OUT=Analog Audio
PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_IN=TVAudio In
PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_OUT=TVAudio Out
PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_TUNER_IN=Audio Tuner In
PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_DECODER_OUT=Video Decoder Out
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_VIDEO_IN=Analog Video In
PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_DECODER_OUT=Audio Decoder Out
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_AUDIO_IN=Analog Audio In
PIN_CAPTURE_CAPTURE_OUT=Capture
PIN_CAPTURE_PREVIEW_AUDIO_OUT=Preview Audio
PIN_WRITER_INPUT_IN=Input

...I now get a screen full of garbled graphics when I click "Live TV". I can take a screenshot if it would be of any use.

I can't see anything distinguishable at all on it (that is, it's just a bunch of pink and grey pixelated / noisy boxes) but at least I'm not getting errors Smile

Ideas?

It seems like it doesn't like my video decoder, maybe? In config under Playback I selected "Nero Video Decoder" (which is my only choice aside from System Default). It was installed with a few other Nero products.

I could also try installing the NVidia PureVideo MPEG2 decoder (I have it but didn't install it because I've never needed it).

Logs attached. Thanks again.

I think you're right. It doesnt like your decoder.

You could try this reasonable free decoder from http://sourceforge.net/projects/gplmpgdec/

Almost there! I decided to try the NVidia one since I have it kicking around -- it's ALMOST working now. When I click on Live TV, I get the OSD (showing the channel name, time, and information about the show, and if I mouseover I get the up/down/pause/Exit popup) but behind that is just black -- no actual TV is being displayed.

My config:

Hardware decoder: None

Video decoder: NVIDIA Video decoder

Audio decoder: System default

Audio renderer: Sys. default

VMR9 Custom Renderer

...and on Misc BDA multiplexer is Microsoft DVR-MS.

Sound right?

Strange. You should get those if you've correctly set INIT_MSP=0 and INIT_MODE=DEFAULT.

Also, its only your previous log that had that, not the current one. Was that before you updated the settings.

In your most recent log, it still looks like you've got some pin names wrong:
Quote:23:00:14.171 VERBOSE ConnectPins: 'Analog Audio' to 'TVAudio In'
23:00:14.187 VERBOSE ConnectPins: 'Audio Decoder Out' to 'Analog Audio In'
23:00:14.187 VERBOSE Dest pin for connect not found
23:00:14.187 VERBOSE ConnectPins failed: hr = 80004005
23:00:14.187 ERROR Failed to connect pinNameCrossbarAudioDecoderOut to pinNameCaptureAnalogAudioIn

Yes, I think that huge log full of errors was from before I updated the settings.

For the pins, I'm not really sure what to change. My current settings:

Quote:[MSI TV@nywhere - Hauppauge PVR250]
BLACKBIRD=0
CONEXANT=1
INIT_MODE=DEFAULT
INIT_MSP=0
SUPPORTS_FM_RADIO=0
FILTER_CROSSBAR=MSI 8606 Crossbar
FILTER_CAPTURE=Conexant 2388x Video Capture
FILTER_TV_TUNER=MSI 8606 Tuner
FILTER_TV_AUDIO=MSI 8606 TV Audio
PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_TUNER_IN=Video Tuner In
PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_VIDEO_OUT=Analog Video
PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_AUDIO_OUT=Analog Audio
PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_IN=TVAudio In
PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_OUT=TVAudio Out
PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_TUNER_IN=Audio Tuner In
PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_DECODER_OUT=Video Decoder Out
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_VIDEO_IN=Analog Video In
PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_DECODER_OUT=Audio Decoder Out
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_AUDIO_IN=Analog Audio In
PIN_CAPTURE_CAPTURE_OUT=Capture
PIN_CAPTURE_PREVIEW_AUDIO_OUT=Preview Audio
PIN_WRITER_INPUT_IN=Input

I'm also not getting any audio (obviously).

What do I need to look for in GraphEdit filters to help map the direct.ini settings to the TV@nywhere?
