This rings a bell although, admitedly, a very soft bell. I had this happen with my card WAY BACK when the first version of GBPVR came with support for ATSC devices. I vaguely recall that my problem was a combination of the lack of a decent MUX, using the Microsoft DVR-MS BDA Multiplexer, signal quality (I had the OTA signal spilt), the quartz.dll bug in DirectX 9, and several other things!

I wish I could point to one specific cause that would help you fix this. It took me several tries and a rebuild or two to get my HDTV signals to an acceptable level.

EDIT: One more thing I just remembered! I have found that choppy HDTV playback (LiveTV or otherwise) is almost ALWAYS due to audio/video sync issues between the Audio and Video decoders. The only way to fix this is to try out all of the combinations until you have found one that suits you. It takes ALOT of time and tweaking but it is worth the effort.

Yeah, it really sounds like mux problems to me.

The only v0.98 logs you've posted so far are using the Cyberlink mux. Can you post some using the DVR-MS mux?

But live tv works with dvr-ms.....just not recording.............So will the logs show anything if i start live tv..or do i need to start a recording?

EDIT: I was watching live tv with dvr-ms and selected to record.. resulting in error in file playback...

Its a bit hard to see what is happening in those logs. Can you do a scheduled recording rather than press recording in live tv, then post the logs again?

Ideally, can you going to record college football again for this test, can you delete any previous college football recording attempts you made. Otherwise it tries renaming files etc and it gets really confusing in the logs.
